Holashtak is made from two words hola and ashtak. Hola is related to Holi and Ashtak is related to eight. So, Holashtak is related to 8 days before Holi.

Holashtak is starting from Phalguna Shukla Ashtami and end at Phalguna Purnima. Holashtak is considering inauspicious periods.

What is the impact of Holashtak in Vedic Astrology

The time frame of Holashtak is not considered good for any sort of auspicious works. We should avoid any sort of marriage, new home entry, Bhoomi pujan, travelling etc.
