How to decide the number of Kids on the Birth chart as per Vedic astrology
In Vedic astrology, there are multiple ways to decide the number of children promised in birth chart. But practically in current circumstances, most people have a maximum of 3 to 4 kids. So, this method is only useful to decide the possible number of kids as per Vedic astrology.
Method to decide the number of children promise in the chart
There are multiple ways to decide the number of kids as per Vedic astrology. We learnt all possible ways to decide the number of kids.
Ashtakavarga method to decide the number of children
Jupiter is the Karak planet of children. So, my favourite rule to decide the number of children is based on Jupiter Ashtakavarga.
- Native may have kids equal to the number of points (Rekha) in 5th from Jupiter in the Jupiter ashtakavarga chart.
- Now we check which planet is giving the Rekha in 5th from Jupiter. If any point or Rekha giving planet is debilitated or combust or in enemy sign then we reduced their point in Jupiter AV( 5th from Jupiter). Because such planet may either cause miscarriage or weak conceive.
This is my favourite sutra. Because I found this true in most cases.
Number of Kids with help of planets associated with the Sun
As per Bhrigu Nadi astrology, Sun is the Karak of children. So, the number of possible kids will be equal to the number of friendly planets having a Nadi relationship with the Sun.
This means the number of kids will be equal to the number of Planet having a relationship with the Sun. Nadi relationship means
- Planet conjunct with Sun
- Planet trine from Sun
- Planet 7th from Sun
- The planet having exchange with Sun
But we can’t count Saturn, Rahu or Ketu’s Nadi relationship with Sun. Because this planet has a Nadi relationship with Sun may cause Putra Dosha.
Number of Kids with help of 5th house
The number of possible kids will be equal to the number of planets associated with the 5th house with PAC (Placement, aspects and conjunction). But a debilitated planet, combust planet or planet placed in an enemy house will not give kids.
Number of Kids with help of Navamsa sign number of 5th house lord
There is a popular sutra that navamsa sign number of 5th house lord is indicating the number of possible kids. If Navmasa sign of 5th house lord as aspects of Jupiter then we doubled the numbers of kids.
For example, Jupiter is the 5th house lord and in navamsa placed in the cancer sign, the possible number of kids will be 4.
